We were gathered to elect the 2017 Board of Directors of TALL at the Berköz Residence on December 4th.
Wow! What a turnout! There were approximately 60 people in attendance. Our guests not only enjoyed each other’s company, but also got a great and informative presentation from Çağla Başar, Will and Trust Attorney. She shared basics of Wills and Living Trusts. This is a subject matter near and dear to all of us as it applies to all regardless of gender and age.
Naime and Ertunga Berköz graciously opened their warm home to the guests on a beautiful Southern California Day. They displayed top-notch hospitality. We all enjoyed the best of the best of the Turkish cuisine, from baked goods to delicious desserts accompanied by champagne and wine. 100% of the donations collected at this event will be donated to Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) for their cancer patients.
There were four open positions on the TALL BOD that needed to be filled. Two new positions and two incumbents. The members voted to elect all open positions. The new President of TALL for 2017/2018 years is Zinnur Güvenç. We will take TALL to new heights under her presidency. Welcome back dear friend!
